found out about most of what follows from conversations with us. If you're
a new visitor, please read on. These are exciting times for us, and some
of what follows might be the answer to your critical need.
Let's start from the top:
1. New Engagements!
- Selection Strategies is pleased to announce a new recruiting engagement
with NONSTOP Solutions, Inc.
- San-Francisco based NONSTOP is an eight year old company that creates
and markets Demand Chain Optimization solutions for manufacturing
and retail, health and phamaceutical clients. Their Score finished
goods replenishment solution has been hailed as the first real innovation
in this field since the 1960's.
- This engagement is for nationwide sales and sales management.professionals.

2. Sales Opportunities Continue
at Blue Martini Software and PeopleSoft, Inc..
- Selection Strategies continues its long-term engagement at Blue
Martini Software, which went public in late July 2000. It began selling
its Customer Interaction System® eCRM products in April of 1999,
and in the midst of this topsy-turvy market, is still on track for
profitability in 2001.
- Our search for several California-based salespeople at PeopleSoft
also continues. We're looking people to sell both the PeopleSoft 8
applications suite, as well as applications acquired through their
acquisition of Vantive.
Take a look at our "Hiring" page to find out more about these
opportunities.

3. New Hiring Intelligence
Courses!
- Selection Strategies is pleased to announce two new courses in
our Hiring Intelligence series.
- The first is Recruiting for Talent, a two-day course that
teaches our entire methodology, from developing effective hiring models,
sourcing and interviewing candidates, closing them and managing them
for peak performance. This course is is indispensible for dedicated
IT sales recruiters, and is strongly recommended for managers with
hiring responsibility seeking to understand the various of the recruiting
process, and human resource professionals responsible for delivering
recruiting services.
- If our new Hiring Intelligence seminar is "basic training"
for IT sales recruiting, our next offering is more like an Outward
Bound trip. If you're a senior sales manager or a venture capital
executive who wants to learn how to make competency-based recruiting
work for you, we offer a two-hour survey course called Ten Principles
of World-Class Recruiting. This course teaches the high-level
essentials of Hiring Intelligence, and enables executives to assess
the value of our methodology. We offer this course in conjunction
with our recruiting partner, Strategic Software Resources of Natick,
MA.
- Please visit our "Products" page to learn more.

4. Selection Strategies licenses
Oracle Tutor for future training programs.
To make it easier for us to create custom printed and web-enabled
training products for our clients, we've licensed Oracle Tutor, an
MS Word-based application that provides easy publishing/indexing capability,
automatic flowcharting of task-based information, and HTML export
capability. It's a very cool tool. To learn more, click
here to visit Oracle Education's Tutor Page.

5. Web site revisions continue.
Our cleaner-loading design continues to evolve, as we add new pages
and more relevant information for our guests.
And the June 20th E-Zine is loaded and ready for your entertainment.

of interest to IT recruiters, emerging topics from our training sessions
and recruiting engagements, and new areas of research and best practices
that find their way onto our radar screen. This quarter's issue contains
articles on leveraging the economic downturn, and a reminder of the
importance of recruiters looking beyond candidate experience when
making hiring recommendations. Click

8. Selection Strategies at the Linkage e-HR Future
Show.
For the first time, Selection Strategies was an exhibitor at Linkage,
Inc.'s e-HR Future Showlast May. George Tatarinow, our Training Systems
Principal, was on the exhibition floor talking to customers and prospects
about our process consulting and sales recruiting services, as well
as our upcoming course offering, E3.
George also managed to avoid both close contact with cartoon characters,
power outtages and Lion King soundtrack-induced nausea. But it was
touch and go.
Congratulations also go to Robbie C. Banks of Drake International
in Toronto, Canada. Robbie was the winner of our Handspring Visor
PDA drawing.

9. E3 is Coming! New
Course Offering Arrives July 2001.
E3 is an exciting answer to a critical sales recruiting problem.
Our clients have typically fallen into one of two groups. The first
group are those who need to create and implement a value-based recruiting
practice that is more responsive to the specific needs of the sales
practice than a traditional recruiting organization.
The second group has the fishing process pretty much down, but is
losing a lot of candidates off the hook. For them, we've designed
E3.
The Es stand for "Evaluate," "Elevate," and "Execute."
The course is an intensive workshop on maximizing the value of your
sales opportunities to talented candidates, managing the job negotiating
process from first contact through years of employment with your company,
and driving your recruiters' close ratios through the roof.
We're launching E3 this July. Stay tuned for updates.
